Initial support for severe trauma patients for nurses

This training is designed to increase the knowledge and skills necessary for correct and early diagnosis and the adequate, comprehensive treatment of accident victims and/or trauma patients.
Total teaching hours 37.00 (15.00 horas presenciales + 22.00 horas elearning)
Training aims

General objectives

  • To acquire and train the knowledge competencies and necessary skills for the initial evaluation and treatment of severe trauma patients according to the severe trauma healthcare process and the principles established by the american college of surgeons committee on trauma.

Specific objectives

  • To identify life-threatening injuries and intervention priorities.
  • To apply therapeutic resources in initial trauma life support.
  • To understand the special characteristics in pregnancy trauma care and the fundamental principles of paediatric trauma patient care.
