Expert management of non-invasive ventilation

This course trains the professional in knowledge of mechanical and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, acute respiratory failure, bi-level positive airway pressure, indications, application and patient care. This course uses robotic simulation as well as online and face-to-face learning modalities.

General objectives

  • To increase knowledge of non-invasive ventilation and indications as well as the necessary skills for implementation and patient care.

Specific objectives

  • To understand the physical, technical and physiological basics of non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
  • To acquire skills in the different modes of application of non-invasive ventilation in acute respiratory failure patients.
  • To understand the most common clinical problems that arise during non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
  • To understand and apply different solutions to the most common problems that arise during non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
  • To prepare a specific, individual care plan for patients with non-invasive ventilation.
