Emergency stations

This training consists of six stations carried out over two sessions in one day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. In these workshops students practise techniques to control the polytrauma patient scenario, shock management, heart failure situations, electrical treatment of arrhythmias and acute respiratory failure using simulation and advanced robotics methodologies.

Training aims

General objectives

  • To understand and apply the basic techniques related to the first four intervention steps in medical-surgical emergencies.
  • To improve the survival of patients who have undergone an emergency care process.

Specific objectives

  • To learn the basic sequence of actions in medical-surgical emergencies.
  • To understand the basic principles that emergency actions are based on.
  • To learn the key management techniques in medical /surgical emergencies.
  • To understand the necessary technical resources for emergency management.
  • To understand and apply the integrated work principles in emergency teams at prehospital level.
