In this course the professional acquires or improves knowledge and technical skills in Advanced Life Support (ALS) manoeuvres. This practical training is complemented with an e-learning stage. This training follows the latest European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines.

General objectives

To acquire or improve the knowledge competencies and technical skills in Advanced Life Support manoeuvres following the latest guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).

Specific objectives

To recognise when to initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres.
To understand and perform basic life support.
To understand and implement advanced life support techniques in adults.
To adapt CPR to special situations.
To understand post-resuscitation care.
To consider the importance of team performance in this critical situation.
