Fundamentals and skills in microsurgery

This course trains skills in the use of microsurgery technical equipment as well as in the various techniques and surgical manoeuvres in microsurgery. The training takes place in an immersive, comprehensive workshop equipped with microsurgical tools using inert and animal models in a surgical environment.

Training aims

General objectives

  • To correctly apply neurovascular microsurgery in human pathology.

Specific objectives

  • To perform permeable anastomosis on 1 mm-diameter vessels.
  • To perform anastomosis in nerve structures of less than 2 mm in diameter.
  • To attain an adequate level of the acquired microsurgical technique for application in the field of healthcare.
