Advanced laparoscopic surgery for esophagogastric pathology

During this course students acquire the necessary competencies in order to perform the different techniques associated with gastroesophageal laparoscopic surgery using animal bioreactive models and thus improving the quality of patient treatment and safety.

Training aims

General objectives

  • To perform gastric-esophagus laparoscopic approaches in order to improve patient safety and the quality of treatment provided.

Specific objectives

  • To perform a laparoscopic gastrectomy.
  • To perform a subtotal gastrectomy using the Roux "Y" gastrojejunostomy procedure.
  • To address the right gastroepiploic vessels with and without lymphadenectomy.
  • To perform a Roux "Y" esophageal jejunostomy procedure.
