Training for sedation and life support during endoscopic respiratory procedures

Sedation is used in almost all endoscopic examinations in hospitals. In the case of bronchopulmonary pneumological techniques, these are increasingly complex and require longer exploratory times and greater collaboration of the patient, taking charge of the pulmonologist explorer in many cases. The use of sedation at different levels of depth improves tolerance and diagnostic performance. The European Respiratory Society (ERS) recommends training and accreditation in sedation. On the other hand, it is of great importance that the pulmonologist has periodic training in immediate life support, defined as the evaluation and treatment of the critical patient and in the situation of cardiorespiratory arrest, awaiting the arrival of intrahospital emergency teams. Training action in blended learning modality, with a total duration of 42 hours, a previous e-learning phase, a midcourse attendance phase, developed in two days, in which the first day is in the afternoon, and the following day, full day. And a final post-attendance phase online.
