Instructors in paediatric and neonatal advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation

The purpose of this Paediatric and Neonatal CPR instructor course is to ensure that the candidate/instructor acquires the necessary knowledge and skills in order to plan, teach and evaluate CPR techniques according to the standards established by the European and National CPR Committees.

Training aims

General objectives

  • To acquire the correct knowledge and skills to plan, teach and evaluate CPR techniques according to the standards agreed by the European and National CPR Committees.

Specific objectives

  • To teach, and in some cases, manage CPR training courses.
  • To understand the CPR training chain.
  • To master all the aspects included in CPR courses.
  • To understand the basics of adult education, motivation and the teaching and learning methodology.
  • To act as a "model-guide" for students in all CPR techniques.
  • To understand and apply evaluation techniques of theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • To understand the mannequins, their maintenance and decontamination.
  • To understand the ethical and legal concepts regarding CPR.
Destination
  • Physicians and nurses with experience in critical medicine or pediatric emergencies, in addition to be graduated in courses of RCP Advanced Pediatric and neonatal.
